From Hamburg/Berlin to the Highlands

Many moons ago, I was born in Hamburg (Germany). After a brief stint in Berlin and losing way too many loved ones, I packed my things and did what anyone would have done in my place: I moved to Scotland.

By day, I'm a translator for HarperCollins Germany, a journalist, and a Scottish historian. By night I write contemporary romance set in the most beautiful country in the world.

I studied Scottish History plus a bit of Scottish and English Literature at the University of Glasgow, so every castle, glen, and village in my books is based on my authentic experience and the real thing – just with a lot more kissing.

Every day, I wish the world was a much better place. Until it is, my books give you the escapism you need. I know I do.

My heroines are fierce, funny, and delightfully flawed. My heroes are grumpy, swoony, emotionally available – and always Scottish.
